Always an adventure
Using vinettes to illustrate the course of a relationship overtime. Conveying emotion with a focus on humour and endearment.
Developed an entire short film over the course of 3 weeks in order to celebrate a wedding. The film was screened during the reception as a surprise for the couple.
The objective of the short was to showcase the evolution of the couples relationship from the moment they met to the day of their wedding. The film was to have no dialogue or color due the restrictions of the projector and venue where the film was to be screened.

KEY IDEAS TO COVEY
Client requested final film conveyed a certain number of elements clearly.
Spotted in the CLASSROM
They day of their initial meeting was to be a pivotal moment of the film and as such we devoted a good amount of the films runtime to it.
Meeting on the bus
The true start of their relationship. We needed this scene to finish establishing their personalities and dynamic as the film transforms into a montage past this stage.
FINDING THE FUN IN THE F****ED
The couple has gone through hardship together but they always manage to find fun even in those moments. We wanted the film to be a reflection of this dynamic and their relationship as a whole to it was decided early on that the project should have a comedic tone to it.
buILDING THE FAM
The couple is know for their affinity for pets and the film needed to include them in some way. Given the number of pets they have and the way they went about adopting them it was decided to turn this into a recurring gag throughout the entire narrative.

Finalized character rotations were developed before animation was to begin.
